Abstract
La finalidad del estudio es determinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de educación secundaria en una Institución Educativa, ciudad Iquitos, 2022.
Investigación cuantitativa, hipotético – deductivo, población integrada por 1742 discentes, se empleó un muestreo aleatorio simple siendo la muestra 315 estudiantes de educación secundaria del Colegio Nacional Maynas de la ciudad de Iquitos. Técnica psicométrica e instrumentos inteligencia emocional de BarOn y Habilidades sociales de Arnold P. Goldstein.
Se procesó la información mediante el software SPSS v23, siendo los resultados: inteligencia emocional, el 75,6% tuvo un nivel adecuado, 23,1% por mejorar y el 1,3% muy desarrollada y las habilidades sociales, el 68% sus habilidades son nivel normal, 19% habilidades altas y el 13% nivel bajo en las habilidades. Concluye: existe relación estadística significativa entre la inteligencia emocional y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de educación secundaria en una Institución Educativa, ciudad Iquitos (r=0,550; p=0,000<0,05; correlación moderada).
The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and social skills in secondary education students in an Educational Institution, Iquitos city, 2022. Quantitative, hypothetical - deductive research, population made up of 1742 students, a simple random sampling was used, the sample being 315 secondary school students from the Maynas National College in the city of Iquitos. Psychometric technique and emotional intelligence instruments by BarOn and Social Skills by Arnold P. Goldstein. The information was processed using the SPSS v23 software, the results being: emotional intelligence, 75.6% had an adequate level, 23.1% to improve and 1.3% highly developed, and social skills, 68% their skills are normal level, 19% high skills and 13% low level skills. It concludes: there is a significant statistical relationship between emotional intelligence and social skills in secondary school students in an Educational Institution, Iquitos city (r=0.550; p=0.000< 0.05; moderate correlation).
