Relación de los hábitos técnicas de higiene bucal con el IHO-S en niños del nivel primario de dos II.EE. de Iquitos 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre los hábitos y técnicas de higiene bucal con el IHO-S. en niños del nivel primario de dos II.EE. de Iquitos 2024. Metodología: Estudio con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño descriptivo-correlacional, de tipo prospectivo y de cohorte transversal. Se emplearon la observación clínica bucal y la entrevista como técnicas de recolección de datos, utilizando una encuesta como instrumento. La población del estudio estuvo conformada por 838 niños de 8 a 11 años. Se seleccionó una muestra de 264, 132 niños en cada II.EE. del nivel primario Cesar Vallejo y Bagazán. Resultados: Se concluye que los hábitos y técnicas de higiene bucal en los niños son regulares y tiene una relación con el IHOS de forma regular en ambas II.EE.; de las cuales. el sexo femenino prevaleció al igual que la edad de 9 años de las dos II.EE. En la II.EE. Cesar Vallejo NO existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre hábitos y técnicas de higiene bucal con el IHOS, porque muestra un valor de Chi cuadrado de 0,335 (>0,05). En la II.EE. Bagazán los hábitos y técnicas de higiene bucal con el IHOS SI existe relación estadísticamente significativa porque muestra un valor de Chi cuadrado de 0,024(<0,05).

Objective: To determine the relationship between oral hygiene habits and techniques and IHO-S in primary school children in two schools in Iquitos 2024. Methodology: Quantitative approach, descriptive correlational design, with a prospective and cross-sectional cohort method; the technique of clinical oral observation and interview using a survey instrument was used. With a population of 838 children aged 8 to 11 years and a sample of 264 children, of which 132 children in each of the primary schools of Cesar Vallejo and Bagazán. Results: It is concluded that the habits and techniques of oral hygiene in the children are regular and have a regular relationship with the IHOS in both II.EE.; of which the feminine sex prevailed as well as the age of 9 years in both II.EE. In II.EE. Cesar Vallejo there is NO statistically significant relationship between oral hygiene habits and techniques with the IHOS, because it shows a Chi-square value of 0.335 (>0.05). In II.EE. Bagazán, the habits and techniques of oral hygiene with the IHOS DOES have a statistically significant relationship because it shows a Chi-square value of 0.024 (<0.05).
