Objective: To determine human papillomavirus genotypes and associated factors in women treated at a LEVEL II-2 hospital, 2024 period. Methodology: This was a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, and retrospective study. Population: 96 women. Sample: 96 women who attended the cancer prevention clinic. Results: Prevalence of women infected with HPV: 37.5%, with 18.8% infected with high-risk HPV. The most prevalent genotype was HPV 16 (15.5%), followed by HPV 18 (3.1%), and 81.4% for low-risk HPV. Sociodemographic factors: women aged 30 to 39 years (46.7%) for HPV 16; 40 to 49 years for HPV 18 (66.7%) and low-risk HPV (35.9%); secondary and higher technical education levels for HPV 16 (33.3%), higher technical education for HPV 18 (66.7%), and secondary education for low-risk HPV. Women with HPV 16 and 18 were more likely to be cohabiting and of urban origin (53.1% and 92.7%, respectively). Women with HPV 16 (73.3%) and 18 (66.7%) had stable jobs, while those with low-risk genotypes were housewives (55.1%). Behavioral factors included age at first sexual activity (before 15 years of age, 74%); women with HPV 16 had more than three sexual partners (53.3%), and women with HPV 18 (66.7%) and low-risk genotypes (53.8%) had two sexual partners; 92.7% had no history of STIs; 99% did not smoke; and 63.5% did not use condoms. Associated risk factors were age at first sexual activity, number of sexual partners, and non-use of condoms.En_us
