Abstract
El trabajo de tesis, tuvo como propósito elaborar un programa de educación ambiental y concientización para promover el uso eficiente del agua potable en los alumnos de 5to y 6to de primaria de la N° 60993 Institución Educativa Ramón Castilla y Marquezado del distrito de Belén, provincia de Maynas, en la región Loreto.
En el presente estudio se empleó un diseño cuasi-experimental con enfoque cuantitativo. La población estuvo compuesta por estudiantes de 5° y 6° de primaria, seleccionándose una muestra de 43 estudiantes. Para la recolección de datos, se aplicaron encuestas de pre y postest que evaluaban conocimientos y conductas (instrumento aplicado a través de una encuesta de 06 preguntas) sobre el agua, además de una prueba conductual, de la aplicación del programa de educativo ambiental.
La investigación se centró en la elaboración de un programa educativo ambiental que permitió concientizar a los alumnos, sobre el manejo adecuado y uso racional del agua potable, mediante la realización de talleres informativos, elaboración de actividades recreacionales para alumnos con sus respectivos docentes. Esto logró el involucramiento de la institución educativa a ser parte del cambio, donde ellos pudieron llevar nueva información a su familia y comunidad.
Al finalizar el programa educativo se concretó los resultados con gráficos y cuadros en el programa Excel, dándonos a conocer que los resultados muestran mejoras en el conocimiento y conducta de los estudiantes tras la implementación del programa. En las encuestas post-test, un mayor porcentaje de estudiantes reconoció la importancia de cerrar los grifos y evitar el desperdicio de agua, y hubo un aumento en la participación en campañas de uso adecuado del agua. Con el desarrollo de la investigación se pudo motivar a la comunidad educativa a elevar sus conocimientos y sobre todo su conciencia ambiental respecto al manejo adecuado y uso racional del agua mediante el proceso de capacitación e información brindada
The purpose of the thesis was to develop an environmental education and awareness programme to promote the efficient use of drinking water in 5th and 6th grade students of the Ramón Castilla y Marquezado Educational Institution in the district of Belén, province of Maynas, in the Loreto region. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a qualitative approach. The population consisted of 5th and 6th grade primary school students, and a sample of 43 students was selected. For data collection, pre- and post-test surveys were applied to assess knowledge and behaviours (instrument applied through a survey of 06 questions) about water, in addition to a behavioural test, from the application of the environmental education programme. The research focused on the development of an environmental education programme that raised awareness among students about the proper management and rational use of drinking water through informative workshops and recreational activities for students and their teachers. This achieved the involvement of the educational institution to be part of the change, where they were able to bring new information to their family and community. At the end of the educational programme, the results were presented with graphs and tables in Excel, showing that the results show improvements in the knowledge and behaviour of the students after the implementation of the programme. In the post-test surveys, a higher percentage of students recognised the importance of turning off taps and avoiding wasting water, and there was an increase in participation in campaigns for proper water use. With the development of the research, it was possible to motivate the educational community to increase their knowledge and above all their environmental awareness regarding the proper management and rational use of water through the process of training and information provided.
