Abstract
Educational infrastructure has undergone various transformations as societies have experienced changes in socio-economic and technological aspects, which have influenced educational models, primarily in urban schools. However, this has not been the case in rural schools, which have continued with the traditional model—not only in the way teaching and learning processes are carried out but also in the limitations posed by precarious and inadequate infrastructure, insufficient teacher training (as teachers are prepared for urban rather than rural schools), the territorial dispersion of populated centers, and high dropout rates. These challenges are further exacerbated by the early integration of school-age children into economic activities and the extreme poverty prevalent in rural Amazonian communities. The community of Santa Teresa I Zona, located on the Yavarí River in the Yavarí district, Ramón Castilla province, Loreto department, is no exception to this reality. Therefore, this research aims to design and implement an educational service space that is functional, safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing. The goal is to meet pedagogical needs, contribute to the well-being of students and teaching staff, and serve the community. By doing so, it seeks to reduce the existing gaps in educational infrastructure.
