El objetivo principal de esta investigación ha sido analizar la contribución de la actividad turística en el producto bruto interno en la región de Loreto, periodo 2011-2017, saber si el turismo tiene un gran aporte al producto bruto y ser una principal actividad económica en la región de Loreto. La técnica que se utilizó en esta investigación fue el fichaje y análisis de documentos que nos permitió recopilar información. El instrumento de recolección de datos que se utilizó es el cuestionario, documento básico para obtener la información en la gran mayoría de investigaciones y estudios, con una serie de preguntas que han sido redactadas de forma coherente, secuencial y estructura de acuerdo con una determinada planificación. Esta encuesta se realizó a personas involucradas en la industria del turismo, cuyas diferentes opiniones y conocimientos han sido enriquecedores para nosotras. Finalmente, el trabajo de investigación realizado reconoce que la actividad turística no tiene una significativa participación en el producto bruto interno de la región Loreto, por tanto, no podría ser la principal actividad económica en la región, pero podría convertirse en una, ya que cuenta con todos los recursos. Un trabajo en conjunto, infraestructura básica, conciencia turística de la población serían objetivos fundamentales.

The main objective of this research has been to analyze the contribution of tourism activity to gross domestic product in the Loreto region, period 2011-2017, to know if tourism has a large contribution to gross product and to be a main economic activity in the region. The technique used in this research was the sorting and analysis of documents that allowed us to collect information. The data collection instrument used is the questionnaire, a basic document for obtaining information in the vast majority of investigations and studies, with a series of questions that have been drafted in a coherent, sequential and structured manner according to a certain planning. This inquiry was conducted with people involved in the tourism industry, whose different opinions and knowledge have been enriching for us. Finally, the research work carried out recognizes that tourism does not have a significant share in the gross domestic product of the Loreto region, therefore, it could not be the main economic activity in the region, but it could become one, since it has all the resources. A joint work, basic infrastructure and tourist awareness of the population would be fundamental objectives.
