Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre la salud bucal e índice
de higiene oral en gestantes atendidas en el Hospital Regional de Loreto,
Punchana-2023. Metodología: El estudio es de tipo descriptivo,
observacional, correlacional, prospectivo y de cohorte transversal.
Población 3805; Muestra: 349 gestantes. Resultados: Hubo predominio de
gestantes entre 15 a 20 años con un 22%. El total de gestantes con Índice
de higiene oral excelente el 50% tuvieron un conocimiento regular y malo
respectivamente. Del total de gestantes con Índice de higiene oral bueno,
el 60,5% tuvieron un conocimiento regular, el 39% un conocimiento malo y
el 0,5% un conocimiento bueno. Del total de gestantes con Índice de
higiene oral regular, el 63,5% tuvieron un conocimiento regular, el 35,8%
un conocimiento malo y el 0,7% un conocimiento bueno. Del total de
gestantes con Índice de higiene oral malo, el 66,7% tuvieron un
conocimiento regular y el 33,3% tuvieron un conocimiento malo.
Conclusiones: Se concluye que no se encontró relación estadística
significativa (p_valor= 0.982 > 0.05) entre las variables nivel de
conocimiento y el Índice de higiene oral.
Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about oral health and oral hygiene index in pregnant women attended at the Regional Hospital of Loreto, Punchana-2023. The total of pregnant women with excellent oral hygiene index 50% had a regular and poor knowledge respectively. Of the total number of pregnant women with a good oral hygiene index, 60.5% had regular knowledge, 39% poor knowledge and 0.5% good knowledge. Of the total of pregnant women with a regular oral hygiene index, 63.5% had regular knowledge, 35.8% poor knowledge and 0.7% good knowledge. Of the total of pregnant women with a poor oral hygiene index, 667% had regular knowledge and 33.3% had poor knowledge. Conclusions: It is concluded that no statistically significant relationship was found (p_value= 0.982 > 0.05) between the variables level of knowledge and the Oral Hygiene Index.
