Monitoreo de manatíes amazónicos liberados en el área de conservación regional comunal Tamshiyacu Tahuayo, Loreto Perú. año 2025

Abstract

La investigación sobre el Monitoreo de Manatíes Amazónicos que han sido liberados en el Área de Conservación Regional Comunal Tamshiyacu Tahuayo,en Loreto, Perú, formuló como meta examinar las actividades de seguimiento de los manatíes que fueron liberados en esa Área de Conservación. El estudio fue de tipo descriptivo y no experimental, ya que no se alteró ninguna variable y la información se recopiló en la misma ACRCTT. Esta información fue analizada para reconocer el estado de las variables investigadas. La muestra compuesta por la totalidad de los manatíes que fueron rescatados, rehabilitados y liberados en el ACRCTT a lo largo del año 2023. El monitoreo ejecutado en el Área de Conservación, a los tres ejemplares, indican que el manatí "Tahuayo" se ha movido ubicándose, en la cocha el Charo instalada en Buena Vista y Esperanza. El manatí "Mayo" desplazándose y ubicándose entre las comunidades Chino y San Pedro, en la quebrada Blanco. El manatí "Remansa" trasladándose y concentrándose, en la cocha Domingo, que está próxima a la comunidad el Chino. Este trabajo se ha llevado a cabo entre el año 2023 y 2025. Según el proceso técnico de monitoreo que se ejecuta cada 4 meses, los resultados de estas acciones muestran la muerte de dos individuos y la presencia de uno actualmente. En particular, esta conclusión se manifiesta en la escasa participación y compromiso de las comunidades establecidas en el ACRCTT. Aunque están informadas sobre el proyecto, su empoderamiento es muy bajo.

The research on the monitoring of Amazonian manatees that have been released in the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Regional Conservation Area, in Loreto, Peru, it set as a goal to examine the monitoring activities of the manatees that were released in that Conservation Area. The study was descriptive and non-experimental, as no variables were altered and the information was collected at the ACRCTT itself. This information was analyzed to examine the status of the variables under investigation. The sample consisted of all manatees rescued, rehabilitated, and released at the ACRCTT throughout 2023. Monitoring of the three manatees in the Conservation Area indicates that the manatee "Tahuayo" has moved to the Charo lagoon, located in Buena Vista and Esperanza. The manatee "Mayo" has moved and is now located between the communities of Chino and San Pedro, in the Blanco ravine. The manatee "Remansa" has been moving and concentrating, generally, in the Domingo lake, which is close to the El Chino community. This work was carried out between 2023 and 2025. According to the technical monitoring process that is carried out every 4 months during that period, the results of these actions show the death of two individuals and the presence of one currently. In particular, this conclusion is reflected in the limited participation and commitment of the communities located within the ACRCTT. Although they are informed about the project, their empowerment is very low.
