Anticoncepción en puérperas adolescentes atendidas en el hospital regional de Loreto de enero a abril 2024

Abstract

OBJETIVO: Determinar la preferencia de anticonceptivos de las puérperas adolescentes atendidas en el Hospital Regional de Loreto de enero a abril 2024. METODOLOGIA: El presente estudio es de tipo Observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal, retrospectivo. La población estuvo constituida por 200 puérperas adolescentes atendidas en el Hospital Regional de Loreto de enero a abril del 2024, y la muestra lo constituyeron 175 puérperas adolescentes que optaron por un método anticonceptivo. El tipo de muestreo fue por conveniencia el que se determinó de acuerdo a criterios de inclusión y exclusión. RESULTADOS: De 175 puérperas adolescentes atendidas en el Hospital Regional de Loreto de enero a abril 2024, se encontró las siguientes características sociodemográficas: 80% se consignó en edades de 16 a 19 años,79.5% tenían estudios secundarios, 82% era ama de casa, 65.5% eran convivientes, y 51.5% procedían de la zona urbana. De las características obstétricas se encontró,93% eran primípara y 7% segundíparas. 42% tuvo APN insuficiente entre 1 a 5 atenciones, 74.5% llegó con edad gestacional de 37 a 40ss y terminaron en parto vaginal 54% y 46 % por cesárea. 87.5% de las puérperas adolescentes recibió un anticonceptivo al momento de alta. Los anticonceptivos preferidos por las adolescentes fueron: 45% eligió inyectables de solo progestágenos y 22.5% implante. CONCLUSIONES: El 93% de las puérperas adolescentes optó por un método anticonceptivo antes de su egreso hospitalario, el método anticonceptivo de su preferencia fue el método hormonal de solo progestágeno con un 45% y el 22.5% eligió el implante subdérmico.

METHODOLOGY: The present study is Observational, descriptive, crosssectional, retrospective. The population was made up of 200 adolescent postpartum women treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital from January to April 2024, and the sample was made up of 175 adolescent postpartum women who opted for a contraceptive method. The type of sampling was convenience, which was determined according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS: Of 175 postpartum adolescents treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital from January to April 2024, the following sociodemographic characteristics were found: 80% were between 16 and 19 years old, 79.5% had secondary education, 82% were housewives, 65.5% were cohabitants, and 51.5% came from the urban area. Of the obstetric characteristics, 93% were primiparous and 7% were secondiparous. 42% had insufficient ANC between 1 to 5 visits, 74.5% arrived with a gestational age of 37 to 40s and 54% ended in vaginal delivery and 46% by cesarean section. 87.5% of postpartum adolescents received a contraceptive at the time of discharge. The contraceptives preferred by adolescents were: 45% chose progestin-only injectables and 22.5% chose implants. CONCLUSIONS: 93% of the postpartum adolescents opted for a contraceptive method before their hospital discharge, the contraceptive method of their preference was the progestin-only hormonal method with 45% and 22.5% chose the sub dermal implant.
