Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship between stress and noncarious cervical lesions in students of a private technological higher education institute in the city of Iquitos - 2025. A prospective, quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 130 students. Stress was assessed using the Cohen, Kamarak, and Mermelstein version of the Stress Stress Scale (PSS14), and the odontogram was used to record the presence and type of noncarious cervical lesion. The results showed that 62.4% of the students were occasionally stressed, and 33.8% were often stressed. Regarding age, among those aged 18 to 29, 61.2% reported being occasionally stressed, and 34.5% reported being often stressed. Regarding prevalence, non-carious cervical lesions were found in 92.5% of students. The study presents a prevalence of non-carious cervical lesions in students who reported experiencing occasional or frequent stress. It is concluded that there is no relationship between stress and non-carious cervical lesions in students of a Higher Technological Education Institute in the city of Iquitos – 2025
