Prevalencia de las infecciones del tracto urinario en gestantes que asisten al hospital III Iquitos Essalud durante el año 2023.

Abstract

Se determinó la prevalencia de (ITU) identificadas mediante un análisis de orina completo en mujeres embarazadas atendidas en el Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud en el año 2023. El problema: ¿Cuál es la prevalencia de infecciones del tracto urinario (ITU) identificadas mediante un análisis de orina completo en mujeres embarazadas? Material y métodos: Con un enfoque cuantitativo, retrospectivo y descriptivo no experimental. La muestra consistió en 1,759 mujeres embarazadas que fueron atendidas en el Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud en el año 2023. Se utilizó análisis estadístico mediante el software SPSS V25. Resultados: La frecuencia de (ITU) en mujeres embarazadas fue alta, con un 59.81% de las pruebas de orina mostrando anomalías. La mayor aflicción se observó en mujeres de entre 19 y 24 años (34.70%). Por origen, predominó la proporción urbana de casos, representando el 51.14% del total. En términos de edad gestacional, el segundo trimestre presentó la mayor prevalencia con un 43.06%. Conclusiones: Las infecciones del tracto urinario en mujeres embarazadas fueron comunes (59.81%). El mayor impacto se observó entre mujeres embarazadas de 19 a 24 años (34.70%), de áreas urbanas (51.14%) y en el segundo trimestre del embarazo (43.06%). Estos hallazgos subrayan la necesidad de mejorar las estrategias de prevención y vigilancia en los grupos de alto riesgo identificados.

The prevalence of urinary tract infections (UTIs) identified through a complete urine analysis in pregnant women treated at Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud in 2023 was determined. The problem: What is the prevalence of urinary tract infections (UTIs) identified through a complete urine análisis in pregnant women? Materials and methods: A quantitative, retrospective, and descriptive nonexperimental approach was used. The sample consisted of 1,759 pregnant women who were treated at Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud in 2023. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS V25 software. Results: The frequency of UTIs in pregnant women was high, with 59.81% of urine tests showing abnormalities. The highest incidence was observed in women between the ages of 19 and 24 (34.70%). By origin, the urban proportion of cases predominated, representing 51.14% of the total. In terms of gestational age, the second trimester had the highest prevalence at 43.06%. Conclusions: Urinary tract infections in pregnant women were common (59.81%). The greatest impact was observed among pregnant women aged 19 to 24 (34.70%), from urban areas (51.14%), and in the second trimester of pregnancy (43.06%). These findings underscore the need to improve prevention and surveillance strategies inthe identified high-risk groups.
