Frecuencia del antígeno prostático en el Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la frecuencia del Antígeno prostático específico, en los asegurados atendidos en el Hospital ESSALUD Iquitos 2024, según edad, consultorio y concentración del PSA. Metodología: El presente estudio es de tipo cuantitativo con diseño descriptivo, transversal, retrospectivo. Se trabajó con todos los resultados de los asegurados que acudieron al Hospital ESSALUD 2024 y que cuentan con resultado de PSA en el sistema de gestión de ESSALUD (ESSI). Resultados: Se atendieron a 4429 asegurados, con la prueba de PSA en el Hospital ESSALUD Iquitos, durante el año 2024, los grupos etarios fueron de 40 a 49 años con 829 (18.7%); 50 a 59 años 1462 (33.0%); 60 a 69 años con 1233 (27.8%) y de 70 a más con 905 (20.4%), los consultorios donde se solicitaron fueron: Urología con 2233 (50.4%); Medicina con 1959 (44.2%); Nefrología con 139 (3.1%) y finalmente Oncología con 98 (2.2%). Las concentraciones que se encontraron fueron: < 4 ng/ml con 3572 (80.7%); de 4 a 10 ng/ml con 510 (11.5%) y > 10 ng/ml con 347 (7.8%), se debe tener en cuenta que el límite de detección fue de 0.04 ng/ml hasta 150.0 ng/ml, teniendo como valor bajo 0.041 ng/ml y el más alto de 1229 ng/ml. Conclusiones: La frecuencia del PSA en el Hospital ESSALUD Iquitos fue de 4429 pruebas, el grupo etario con más pruebas solicitadas fue el de 50 a 59 años con 1462 (33.0%); y el de 40 a 49 años fue el menor con 829 (18.7%); el consultorio que más utilizo la prueba fue el de Urología con 2233 pruebas y el que presento menos cantidad fue el de Oncología con 98 pruebas; la concentración que se encontró con mayor frecuencia fue menor de 4 ng/ml con 3572 pruebas y mayor de 10.0 ng/ml con menor frecuencia con 347 pruebas.
