Abstract
La desnutrición es causa de más del 30% de fallecimiento de menores de
5 años, y prevalente en familias con de bajo ingreso, baja condición
social, limitado acceso a los alimentos, bajo condiciones ambientales,
saneamiento inadecuado, y la inadecuada atención de la salud
Objetivo:
Determinar los factores determinantes de la desnutrición en niños de 6 a
36 meses del Centro Poblado de Santa Clara de Nanay
Material y métodos:
Es de tipo cuantitativo, diseño observacional, transversal, prospectivo,
correlacional, evaluando a 133 niños 6 a 36 meses y a su madre, a través
de la entrevista; el análisis de los datos se usó el software SPSS versión
21.0.
Resultados:
El 36.9% de los niños de 6 a 36 meses de edad tienen algún grado de
desnutrición; el 57.1% desnutrición aguda leve, y el 34.7% desnutrición
aguda moderada. Los factores como adolescentes, ocupación de
estudiante, bajo nivel de ingreso económico, lactancia materna menos de
6 meses, no cumplimiento del calendario de vacunación y control por el
programa de CREDE, carencia de los servicios de agua y desagüe se
asociaron significativamente a mayor frecuencia de desnutrición
Conclusión:
El estudio comprueba que la desnutrición en niños de 6 a 36 meses de
edad es un problema de salud en el Centro Poblado de Santa Clara de
Nanay; siendo un problema multifactorial, que requiere de una atención
integral para su control.

Results: 36.9% of children aged 6 to 36 months have some degree of malnutrition; 57.1% mild acute malnutrition, and 34.7% moderate acute malnutrition. Factors such as adolescents, student occupation, low level of economic income, breastfeeding less than 6 months, non-compliance with the vaccination and control schedule by the CREDE program, lack of water and drainage services significantly associated with increased frequency of malnutrition Conclusion: The study finds that malnutrition in children aged 6 to 36 months is a health problem at the Santa Clara Populated Center in Nanay; being a multifactorial problem, which requires comprehensive attention for its control.
