Abstract
The research aimed to determine the influence of the use of the 5S Kaizen methodology on the quality management of MSMEs in the sale of women's clothing and accessories in the Iquitos district during the year 2024. It used descriptive methodology with a quantitative approach and nonexperimental design, used a structured questionnaire according to its dimensions and indices, and used the survey as a data collection instrument. The population consisted of 32 respondents chosen through non-probability convenience sampling. The results showed that, from the analysis of the Seiri (Classification) and Seiketsu (Standardization) dimensions in MSMEs, it revealed that both parts of the 5S methodology exert a notable influence on the management of areas such as order in the physical work space and the quality of work. It was found that the Seiri variable had a high level of consensus of 87.5%; which confirms the recognition of the reduction in waste and the increase in organizational order that Seiri generates according to its positive correlation of 0.709. In the case of Seiketsu, approval was lower (71.9%), but it had an extremely high correlation of 0.976; with quality control, which rather suggests greater relevance in the homogenization of activities and reduction of inaccuracies. Both results supported that the correct design of these phases improves performance, control, and operability in MSMEs, which would turn these findings into a continuous improvement strategy.
