Abstract
El enfoque de este estudio fue indagar sobre la siguiente cuestión:
¿Cuál es la frecuencia de casos positivos de sífilis entre los pacientes
atendidos en Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL durante elperiodo
de enero a diciembre de 2022?
El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la seroprevalencia de sífilis en
pacientes atendidos en Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL de enero a
diciembre de 2022.
Material y métodos: El presente estudio es de tipo aplicativo y descriptivo no
experimental. Se realizaron 156 pruebas y se empleó el programa estadístico SPSS
versión 25 para procesar los datos.
Resultados: De los casos documentados tras realizar pruebas de diagnóstico
para detectar sífilis en 156 pacientes atendidos en Servicios Médicos
Generales San Juan SRL, de enero a diciembre de 2022, el 7.69%resultaron
positivos, totalizando 12 pacientes. La distribución por género mostró que las
mujeres presentaron una mayor prevalencia que los hombres, con un 83.33%
frente a un 16.67%, respectivamente. Además, lamayoría de los casos positivos
se concentraron en el grupo de edad de 26a 35 años (58.33%).En términos de
distribución geográfica, las áreas urbanas registraron la mayor prevalencia de
casos (75%), seguidas por las áreas urbanas marginales (16.67%) y rurales
(8.33%).
Conclusiones: En 2022, se realizaron pruebas de sífilis a 156 pacientes en
Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL. De estas, 12 pruebas (7.69%)
resultaron positivas, con 83.33% de los casos en mujeres y la mayoría en el
grupo de 26 a 35 años. La mayor incidencia se encontró en áreas urbanas
(75%). Estos resultados subrayan la necesidad de implementar medidas de
prevención y continuar la investigación sobre la sífilis en la comunidad.
The focus of this study was to investigate the following question: What is the frequency of positive syphilis cases among patients treated at Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL during the period from Januaryto December 2022? The objective of the research was to determine the seroprevalence of syphilis in patients treated at Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRLfrom January to December 2022. A total of 156 tests were conducted, and the data were processed using the statistical software SPSS version 25. The gender distribution showed a higher prevalence in women compared to men, with 83.33% and 16.67%, respectively. Additionally, the majority of positive cases were concentrated in the 26 to 35 age group (58.33%).In terms of geographical distribution, urban areas recorded the highest prevalence of cases (75%), followed by urban marginal areas (16.67%) andrural areas (8.33%). Conclusions: In 2022, syphilis tests were conducted on 156 patientsat Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL.
