Nivel de conocimiento y uso de métodos anticonceptivos en adolescentes del centro poblado de padre cocha – Iquitos 2024

Abstract
Introducción: El conocer el nivel de conocimiento y el uso de los MAC en los adolescentes permite establecer estrategias educacionales de salud sexual integral con el propósito de reducir los embarazos no deseados, así como reducción de las complicaciones y el gasto social que implica.
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y uso de MAC en los adolescentes del Centro Poblado de Padre Cocha del rio Nanay – Iquitos, 2024
Metodología: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño descriptivo transversal prospectivo correlacional, entrevistando a 148 adolescente entre los 14 a 19 años de ambos sexos, residente del poblado de Padre Cocha, aplicando un cuestionario de concomiendo de 35 preguntas y una de uso de anticonceptivo durante sus relaciones sexuales.
Resultados: Se encontró un predomino de mal nivel de conocimiento sobre los MAC (35.3%) seguidos de regular (33.7%) y bueno (31.0%): las dimensiones con mejor nivel de conocimiento fueron sobre anticonceptivos de barrera (38.0%), naturales (32.6%), AOE (31.5%), hormonales (30.4%), DIU (29.9%), quirúrgicos (28.8%), conocimiento sobre los conceptos (26.1%)
El 29.9% de los adolescentes tienen relaciones sexuales y nunca haber usado algún MAC; el 21.2% alguna vez y el 13.6% siempre.
Conclusión: El buen nivel de conocimiento se relaciona significativamente (p=0.038) con el siempre uso de MAC durante sus relaciones sexuales
Introduction: Knowing the level of knowledge and use of CAM in adolescents allows establishing educational strategies for comprehensive sexual health with the purpose of reducing unwanted pregnancies, as well as reducing complications and the social expenditure that it implies. Objective: Determine the level of knowledge and use of CAM in adolescents from the Padre Cocha Population Center of the Nanay River – Iquitos, 2024 Methodology: Quantitative approach study with a cross-sectional prospective correlational descriptive design, interviewing 148 adolescents between 14 and 19 years of age of both sexes, residents of the town of Padre Cocha, applying a 35-question eating questionnaire and one on contraceptive use during their sexual relations. Results: A predominance of poor level of knowledge about CAM was found (35.3%) followed by regular (33.7%) and good (31.0%): the dimensions with the best level of knowledge were about barrier contraceptives (38.0%), natural (32.6%), ECP (31.5%), hormonal (30.4%), IUD (29.9%), surgical (28.8%), knowledge about concepts (26.1%) 29.9% of adolescents have sexual relations and have never used any MAC; 21.2% some of the time and 13.6% always. Conclusion: The good level of knowledge is significantly related (p=0.038) to the always use of MAC during sexual relations.
