Abstract

Through the analysis of historical data and current verification, it was demonstrated that the areas overlapped by a total of 3,073 ha and 2,954 m² over the Palmira Estate, affecting its original area of 3,685 ha and 5,867 m², leaving only 612 ha and 2,913 m² as free area. The research highlights the importance of georeferencing for territorial planning and management. It also mentions that its lack has been one of the main reasons for the conflicts we see today. The conclusions highlight how this overlap affects legal security, the sustainability of the Palmira Estate, and the coexistence between the different communities in the area. Finally, the implementation of a georeferencing system with advanced standards, the establishment of dialogue panels for conflict management, and the active involvement of relevant institutions to ensure an equitable and sustainable solution are recommended. This study contributes to laying the foundation for more efficient and orderly territorial planning in the region.
