Características sociodemográficas asociadas al estado nutricional en niño/as hospitalizados menores de 3 años-Hospital Iquitos-Iquitos-2015

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre las características sociodemográficas y el estado nutricional, de los niño/as menores de 3 años, hospitalizados entre Julio y Diciembre, en el servicio de pediatría del Hospital Iquitos del año 2015. Método: Estudio de tipo estudio es el Descriptivo porque se medirán las variables para describirlos y comprobar las hipótesis planteadas, y el Correlacional porque es el procedimiento de decisión para predecir la relación entre las variables independiente y dependiente. Estará constituida por 200 historias clínicas de niños/as menores de 3 años, hospitalizados en el servicio de Pediatría del Hospital Iquitos, de julio a diciembre del año 2015, procedentes de familias con nivel socioeconómico de bajo a medio, donde la muestra será solo de 132 pacientes (IC 95%). Resultados: De los 132 pacientes escogidos para el estudio, 52,3% pacientes estuvieron entre los 1 – 11 meses de edad, 29,5 % entre 1 año – 2 años y 18,2 % entre 2 – 3 años. Con respecto al sexo, de los 132 pacientes estudiados, 40,9% eran niñas y 59,1% eran niños. De las patologías estudiadas, 42,4% fueron Infecciones Respiratorias Agudas (IRAS), el 31,8% fueron Enfermedades Diarreicas Agudas (EDAS), el 6,8% fueron Transmisibles, el 7,6% Dermatológicas y 11,4 % otros. La procedencia de los niños, el 20,5% es de Iquitos, 32,6% de Belén, 37,9% de San Juan, 3% de Punchana y 6,1% de otros lugares. Con respecto a la valoración del peso, el 6,8% está por debajo de -3 desviaciones estándar (DE), 6,1% <-2DE, 15,2% <-1DE, 56,8% con peso normal, 9,1% con >1DE y 6,1% >2DE. Con respecto a la valoración de la talla, el 10,6% esta <-3DE, 12,1% <-2DE, 23,5% <-1DE, 39,4% con talla normal, 3,8% con >1DE, 5,3% >2DE y 5,3% > 3DE. Con respecto a la relación entre los factores sociodemográficos y el estado nutricional se haya que todos los factores mencionados, a excepción del sexo, tienen relación estadística significativa, con el estado nutricional (grupo de edad, morbilidad y procedencia con p<0.05% e IC 95%). Conclusiones: La relación entre las características sociodemográficas y el estado nutricional de los niños menores de 3 años en el Hospital Iquitos Cesar Garayar García, es estadísticamente significativo a excepción del sexo.

Objective: To determine the association between socio - demographic characteristics and nutritional status of children under 3 years old hospitalized between July and December in the pediatric service of the Hospital Iquitos in 2015. It will be constituted by 200 clinical records of children under 3 years of age, hospitalized in the Pediatric Service of the Iquitos Hospital, from July to December 2015, from families with low to medium socioeconomic level, where the sample will be only 132 patients (95% CI). Results: Of the 132 patients selected for the study, 52.3% were between 1 - 11 months of age, 29.5% between 1 year - 2 years and 18.2% between 2 - 3 years. With respect to sex, of the 132 patients studied, 40.9% were girls and 59.1% were children. Of the pathologies studied, 42.4% were Acute Respiratory Infections (IRAS), 31.8% were Acute Diarrheal Diseases (EDAS), 6.8% were Transmissible, 7.6% Dermatologic and 11.4% others . The origin of the children, 20.5% is from Iquitos, 32.6% from Bethlehem, 37.9% from San Juan, 3% from Punchana and 6.1% from other places. Regarding weight assessment, 6.8% is below -3 standard deviations (SD), 6.1% <-2SD, 15.2% <-1SD, 56.8% with normal weight, 9.1% with> 1SD and 6.1%> 2SD. Regarding the size assessment, 10.6% were <-3SD, 12.1% <-2SD, 23.5% <-1SD, 39.4% with normal height, 3.8% with> 1SD, 5.3%> 2SD and 5.3%> 3SD. Regarding the relationship between sociodemographic factors and nutritional status, all factors mentioned above, with the exception of sex, have a significant statistical relationship with the nutritional status (age group, morbidity and origin with p <00.5% and CI 95%). Conclusions: The relationship between the socio-demographic characteristics and the nutritional status of children under 3 years of age at the Hospital Iquitos Cesar Garayar García, is statistically significant except for sex.
