Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el grado de satisfacción del paciente hospitalizado con respecto a la calidad de atención en enfermería en un nosocomio público de Iquitos, Perú, en 2024, así como identificar factores sociodemográficos relacionados y evaluar la asociación entre calidad de atención y satisfacción. Se llevó a cabo una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva, prospectiva, transversal y correlacional, con una población de 120 pacientes hospitalizados por al menos 7 días, seleccionados mediante un muestreo por conveniencia. Los datos se recolectaron utilizando cuestionarios estructurados basados en dimensiones de calidad de atención y satisfacción (SERVQUAL). Los resultados mostraron que el 65% de los pacientes percibió una calidad de atención regular, y el 80% reportó un nivel de satisfacción regular. La prueba chicuadrado reveló una asociación significativa entre calidad de atención y satisfacción (p = 5.01 × 10⁻¹³). Además, la mayoría de los participantes fueron mujeres (55%) y adultos jóvenes de 31 a 40 años (55%), con una estancia hospitalaria predominante de 13 a 14 días (50%). En base a lo mencionado, se concluye que, la mayoría de los pacientes, mujeres y adultos jóvenes, perciben una calidad de atención y satisfacción regulares, sin reportarse insatisfacción crítica. La relación significativa entre calidad y satisfacción destaca la necesidad de mejorar la atención para aumentar el grado de satisfacción respecto del servicio brindado.
The aim of this study was to determine the degree of satisfaction of hospitalised patients with the quality of nursing care in a public hospital in Iquitos, Peru, in 2024, as well as to identify related sociodemographic factors and evaluate the association between quality of care and satisfaction. A quantitative, descriptive, prospective, crosssectional and correlational study was conducted with a population of 120 patients hospitalized for at least 7 days, selected by convenience sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires based on dimensions of quality of care and satisfaction (SERVQUAL). Results showed that 65% of patients perceived a fair quality of care, and 80% reported a fair level of satisfaction. The chi-square test revealed a significant association between quality of care and satisfaction (p = 5.01 × 10-¹³). Furthermore, the majority of participants were female (55%) and young adults aged 31-40 years (55%), with a predominant hospital stay of 13-14 days (50%). Based on the above, it is concluded that the majority of patients, women and young adults, perceive a regular quality of care and satisfaction, with no critical dissatisfaction reported. The significant relationship between quality and satisfaction highlights the need to improve care in order to increase the degree of satisfaction with the service provided.
