Abstract
Objetivo de investigación determinar la prevalencia de la sífilis en
gestantes atendidas en los Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL de
enero a diciembre de 2022.
Material y métodos: Este estudio es de tipo cuantitativo,
retrospectivo y con un enfoque descriptivo no experimental. Se analizó una
muestra de 102 pacientes que se realizaron la prueba del Anti Treponema
pallidum en los Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL durante el
periodo de enero a diciembre de 2022. Se utilizó el programa estadístico
SPSS versión 25 para el procesamiento y análisis de los datos.
Resultados: El análisis indica que la prevalencia de sífilis reactiva
en gestantes es del 4.90%, siendo más frecuente en mujeres de 25 a 31
años (60% de los casos reactivos), provenientes de zonas urbanas (80%)
y en aquellas que conviven (60%).
Conclusiones: Los resultados de las pruebas rápidas OnSite Sífilis
Ab en embarazadas durante 2022 muestran que el 4.90% tuvo sífilis. Los
casos positivos fueron más comunes en mujeres de 25 a 31 años (60%),
de zonas urbanas (80%) y que viven con su pareja (60%). Estos datos
indican que es importante enfocar la prevención y educación en estos
grupos y mejorar el acceso a pruebas en zonas rurales y en barrios con
menos recursos.
Research objective to determine the prevalence of syphilis in pregnant women attended at Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL from January to December 2022. Material and methods: This study is quantitative, retrospective, and has a non-experimental descriptive approach. A sample of 102 patients who underwent the Anti Treponema pallidum test at Servicios Médicos Generales San Juan SRL during the period from January to December 2022 was analyzed. The SPSS version 25 statistical software was used for data processing and analysis. Results: The analysis indicates that the prevalence of reactive syphilis in pregnant women is 4.90%, with a higher frequency in women aged 25 to 31 years (60% of the reactive cases), from urban areas (80%), and those who are cohabiting (60%). Conclusions: The results of the OnSite Syphilis Ab rapid test among pregnant women during 2022 show that 4.90% had syphilis. Positive cases were most common in women aged 25 to 31 (60%), from urban areas (80%), and living with their partner (60%). These data indicate the importance of focusing prevention and education on these groups and improving access to testing in rural areas and low-income neighborhoods.
