Abstract
The objective of the study was to determine the influence of stress coping on conflict management in personnel of a police unit, Iquitos 2024. Regarding the methodology, it is quantitative, descriptive-correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional, observing the relationship between stress coping and conflict management. The study population consisted of 33 staff members of a police unit, Iquitos, selected through a non-probabilistic criterion-type sampling. The Stress Coping Strategies Questionnaire (COPE) and the Conflict Management Inventory (TKI) were used, which allowed collecting data that were processed using the SPSS software, version 26 to evaluate the correlation between the variables; the Pearson Chi Square statistical test was applied. The results showed that the inferential results through the Chi Square statistical test with a value of 6.818ª demonstrated with 1 degree of Freedom, a significance level of 0.00 less than 0.05, therefore, it was proven that coping with stress significantly influences the management of possible conflicts that arise in the development of the work of the police personnel. However, in the case of coping through the problem-solving strategy, coping with stress focused on emotion and coping through avoidance do not present significant relationships with conflict resolution in the personnel of a police unit in Iquitos.
